Safety is biologically attractive to everyone. When your system does not feel safe, your body cannot become fully stimulated, and as a result you do not get to enjoy yourself as much as you could.
Your Body Shows When You’re Overwhelmed
One of the ways you know you are holding a lot is when you struggle to sleep after sex. Sex typically relaxes the body in a way that makes sleep come naturally. If you feel hyperactive during or after sex, it may be a sign that you are far more stressed than you realise.
Sex Should Ease Stress
Sex should help your body release tension. It should calm you, help you sleep better, make you feel safer, and leave you wanting to rest, lie down, and simply do nothing. When this does not happen, your system may be signalling that something deeper needs attention.
