Why do you freeze when it is time to have sex??
Freezing during sex is often an indicator that your body doesn’t feel safe enough. Here are a few things you should consider.
1. Make Out Longer
One thing you can do is make out a lot longer than you presently do, or longer than you did before the particular time when you froze.
2. Listen to Your Body
Pay attention to the point at which your body freezes. Does it happen in the beginning? Does it happen when your clothes start coming off? You need to know when your body freezes and see if there’s a pattern. If it has happened three, four, or five times, then it’s time to see an expert.
3. Notice How You Feel When You Freeze
Look at how you feel when you stop. Do you feel shame? Do you feel anger? Do you still want to continue?
4. Be Completely Honest With Yourself
Ask yourself something very honest: if you did not have sex with this person, would you feel grateful? If you weren’t considering their emotions, if you weren’t thinking about them, would you feel relief? If yes, then your body is probably telling you that it’s not ready to have sex with this person, even if you’ve been with them for a long time. This may be because there are underlying emotions.
5. Identify the Underlying Situation
Ask yourself what you would prefer happened if you were both not having sex in this moment. If there is an underlying situation you would rather be addressing, your body may be speaking to you. Either way, your nervous system is letting you know that sex is not what it wants to do right now.
